Kerala Ayurveda Academy, India

Kerala is globally known as the source of authentic Ayurvedic education and practice due to its unbroken tradition that survived a series of invasions in India, its focus on the plant-based wellness and healing approach, and its unique geographical stature with the Western Ghats on the eastern side and the Arabian Sea on the west that brings unmatched biodiversity and abundant flora and fauna.

Starting as a small scale Ayurvedic center and apothecary in Aluva, Kerala in 1945, Kerala Ayurveda has now grown to an international Educational and Healing institution. Since our founding, Kerala Ayurveda has been a leader in all realms of Ayurveda. Our first Ayurvedic apothecary was established in Aluva in 1948 with several branches of the formulation outlets present throughout Kerala by the 1970s. A close connection to the traditional herbs has always been prioritized by Kerala Ayurveda and inspired the establishment of an herbarium and medicinal herbal garden to ensure quality through all points of the herbal manufacturing process.

In addition to the proliferation of herbal healthcare, Kerala Ayurveda has provided a wide range of in-patient Ayurvedic treatments and maintained a Panchakarma center for decades. In 1998, a 20-bed Ayurvedic hospital was established in Aluva to provide even more services to an international clientele. Natural beauty and ancient wisdom combined to create AyurvedaGram, our premier Ayurvedic wellness resort, in 2000 in Bangalore. Since opening, it has won numerous awards from ASSOCHAM, TripAdvisor, and many others for its excellence in the Ayurvedic services provided there.

At the core, Kerala Ayurveda is committed to practicing Ayurveda authenticity and staying in complete alignment with the ancient texts of Ayurveda. All Kerala Ayurveda doctors and faculty share this commitment which inspired the Kerala Ayurveda Academy, India to be opened in 2000. The academy’s success is measured by the thousands of Ayurvedic students who have studied with Kerala Ayurveda throughout India, in the US, and across the globe with our online programs. The various short courses and certification programs offered ensure that there will be a class to benefit a novus Ayurvedic student, as well as more advanced classes that even experienced doctors will benefit from.

We invite you to join the Kerala Ayurveda family to learn how this ancient wisdom can benefit your life today.
